We are happy to announce that the Atlantis Hotel family has grown by a new, furry member. We have decided to adopt an animal partner from ZOO Brno, and our chosen one is the adorable Ring-tailed Lemur!

This charismatic primate with the unmistakable striped tail has become our symbol of love for animals. By adopting the lemur, we are supporting the important work of ZOO Brno in protecting endangered species and raising awareness.

The fascinating Ring-tailed Lemur: An inhabitant of Madagascar in danger

Our new partner, the Ring-tailed Lemur (Lemur catta), is a truly fascinating creature. It is a diurnal primate that lives exclusively on the island of Madagascar. It is known for its unique, ringed tail, which it uses for communication and maintaining balance.

They are highly social animals, living in large groups often referred to as "troops" or "ganges." These groups are typically led by dominant females.

Sadly, the Ring-tailed Lemur faces serious threats. According to the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List of Endangered Species, this species is classified as endangered. Their population has decreased by over 50% in the last 30 years, primarily due to the loss and fragmentation of their natural habitat (deforestation). Our adoption is a small but important step in supporting efforts to save this iconic species.
